If all the passengers in a given airplane believed that flight was not possible, would air travel still exist?
StoriesAboutWhyWeAreHere.com asked:
Why of course.
But if the Wright Brothers, and all other inventors, believed flight was not possible, would air travel still exist?
Nope.
Hence, the importance of opening up to new possibilities. We’re all inventors.
Why do people like to close themselves off to possibilities?

They wouldn’t be in the airplane unless they believed.

Do you believe that bigotry exist? If you don’t well then you’re screwed because it does.
Do you see where I am going with this?

I love the saying (give or take a few words)
It’s good to have an open mind, but not so open that your brain falls out

it is not the individual it is the strongest in any group that decides how the resources and how the masses will think , and if out of sync they could be killed

This is a very good question.
For faith healing to work, the person must believe that the prophet can actually help them. The person must believe the prophet is a vessel of the lord and is helping them with God’s power. That is why it is called faith healing…it requires faith.
However, the Egyptians did not believe Moses had any special power and yet he was able to rain destruction down upon them. Acts of destruction did not require the Egyptians to believe in Moses.

More people should be open to believing in the invisible pink unicorn. She is sooooo awesome!

If all the observers in the universe closed their eyes at exactly the same moment everywhere, would the universe still exist?
Quantum Reality Number One (QRI) – -the Copenhagen interpretation. “There is no deep reality.” Objects, everyday real things, “float on a world that is not as real.” (Bohr, Heisenberg.) Emphasis on “Uncertainty,” and thus comparable to Buddhist “Anti-realism” or even Berkelean Idealism. The Copenhagen “orthodox ontology” leads directly to QR2, which posits an observer-created reality in which the act of measurement gives rise to observed reality (“The moon is demonstrably not there when no one looks” — N.D. Mermin).

Yes, it would. I keep my mind open to possibilities, but not so open that my brains fall out. I believe in a god or the possibility of several deities. I don’t discount all the other religions in our world. Is it a coincidence that there are several other major religions in this world?
If God is in full control of this world, then this is the way He intended it to be: full of diversity.

It is possible to enter a plane in faith believing it flies without understanding the technology or minutiae of detail in engine or wing design.Similarly a person can never really understand totally how the death of Jesus frees us from sin, but they can shake off mental idleness and examine whether there is a good case for Jesus being the Son of God (Messiah) or not?
