Flying US Airways with my pets?

gahhh asked:

i’m trying to find out how much it would be to fly with my animals. (5lb dog and 7lb cat). I’m a military wife and my husbands deployed so i plan on going home for Xmas. I would drive but unfortunately its not an option.
I’m also trying to find out if i get a carrier that fits them both, and meets the right regulation size of a carry on if i could carry them on the plane with me and just put them under my seat.
((i already talked to my vet and she says she can give me a sedative to calm them during the flight.))

also, i’ve only ever booked my tickets online, do i have to actually call the airline to book with animals?

please if anyone knows any info please let me know.

Casey

Super easy to get this info. It is all on their website . Your problem will be that only one pet per passenger is allowed. You will need to call them.

reading info in it appears that you need to follow some guidelines. what could be an issue for you is that you have two pets, and will need separate carriers, they will not both fit under the seat in front of you, so one will need to go as checked luggage.
